How Tiny Tummies works — and what it can’t do

This page explains, in plain language, how the planner produces a week of meals, what information it relies on, and the limits you should assume when you use it.

    What Tiny Tummies is

Tiny Tummies is a meal-planning tool for parents of children roughly ages 1–6. It organizes information you provide — your child’s age, allergens, dislikes, favorite foods and texture stage — into a weekly plan and a grocery list. It is software for planning and organizing. It is not a health service.

    How a plan is generated

    • We start from a library of recipes maintained by the Tiny Tummies team, plus recipes you have saved or marked as favorites.
    • Recipes are filtered against the details you entered: the child’s age, allergens to exclude, disliked foods and texture stage.
    • We use software and, in some cases, AI language models to select, arrange and describe meals, and to fill gaps when the library does not contain a suitable match. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent.
    • The resulting plan is scored for repetition and ingredient reuse so the grocery list stays practical. Nothing in this process involves review by a clinician.

    Who reviews the content

Tiny Tummies is built by a parent, not by a clinical team. No pediatrician, registered dietitian, feeding therapist or other qualified professional has reviewed or approved the product, its recipes, or its recommendations. Where the app or our written guides reference feeding research, that is a plain-language summary by a non-clinician and should not be read as professional advice.

    What we cannot guarantee

    • Allergen safety. Allergen filtering works only on the ingredient data we hold. It cannot account for cross-contamination, manufacturing changes, brand variation, hidden ingredients, or substitutions you make at home. Always read the actual product labels.
    • Choking safety. We exclude foods commonly flagged as choking risks for the age you enter, but choking risk depends on preparation, size, shape, texture, supervision and the individual child. You are responsible for how food is prepared and served.
    • Nutritional adequacy. Plans are not calculated to meet any specific nutritional requirement, medical diet or therapeutic protocol.
    • Outcomes. We make no claim about whether your child will eat, accept, or enjoy any meal, and no claim about time or money saved.

    What we ask of parents

Before serving anything from a Tiny Tummies plan, verify the labels and ingredients, confirm the preparation, texture and serving method are appropriate for your child, and follow the guidance of your child’s pediatrician, registered dietitian, feeding therapist or allergy specialist. Their instructions always override anything in this app.

    Not medical advice

Tiny Tummies is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If your child has a diagnosed allergy, a feeding disorder, a growth concern, or any medical condition affecting eating, work with a qualified professional.

    Reviews and testimonials

We do not display star ratings, review counts or customer testimonials, because we do not yet have verified ones to show. When we do, they will be real, attributable, and collected from actual users.

    Where the product is available

Tiny Tummies is in founding validation and is offered to parents in the United States. We do not currently make availability or compliance claims for other regions.
